Mission

The mission of Balıkesir University Faculty of Law is to educate jurists who are well-versed in the fundamental principles of law, committed to universal legal values, and guided by a strong sense of justice. Our aim is to cultivate professionals who respect human rights, are mindful of societal values and interests in the formulation and application of law, embrace the requirements of the rule of law, and possess cultural awareness, communication skills, and an openness to continuous development. As an institution, we also seek to contribute to the advancement of law and the resolution of legal problems with due regard to national and international values, while engaging in scientific activities for the benefit of society.

Vision

In a contemporary world that is constantly evolving, our vision is to remain attentive to these changes within the realm of law and to foster expertise grounded in scientific inquiry and universal values. We aspire to train legal scholars capable of significant contributions to the academic community, supported by a competitive academic staff that upholds excellence. Our Faculty is dedicated to continuous progress, producing knowledge to address legal challenges, and advancing Turkish legal scholarship through scientific seminars, conferences, research, and publications. In doing so, we strive to serve both the development and the future of our country.
