Women’s Volleyball Team Established at the Faculty of Law

Expanding its sports activities, the Faculty of Law at Balıkesir University has established its first women’s volleyball team this year. Previously participating in university sports with its men’s football team, the Faculty will now also compete in volleyball with its newly founded team.

The team was established under the guidance of Research Assistants Emre Erdemir and Öykü Çalışkan Erdemir, holding its first training session on February 24, 2025. Practices will continue every Monday between 11:00–13:00 at the Burhan Erdayı Sports Hall. Preparing for university competitions, the team is also planning friendly matches with other faculties.

All students interested in joining the team as players or contributing to practices are invited to participate. Comprising students from different classes, the team aims to foster interest in sports and strengthen solidarity within the Faculty.
