“The Constitution is Life” Conference at BAUN
Balıkesir
University (BAUN) Faculty of Law organized a conference entitled “The
Constitution is Life.” The event, held at the BAUN Atatürk Congress and Culture
Center Gelibolu Conference Hall, was attended by academics and a large number
of students.
The
opening speech was delivered by Balıkesir University Rector and Acting Dean of
the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu. The keynote speaker of the
conference was Prof. Dr. Ayşe Odman Boztosun, faculty member of the Department
of Commercial Law at Akdeniz University.
Prof.
Dr. Boztosun, who provided insights into constitutional law, emphasized the importance
of constitutional rights for Turkish society and the significance of
individuals being aware of and safeguarding their constitutional rights. As the
author of the book “The Constitution is Life,” she highlighted that the
Constitution serves as a protective “mother” for society and advised law
students to always keep the Constitution at hand.
The conference concluded with the presentation of a plaque to Prof. Dr. Ayşe Odman Boztosun by Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu.
