Mock Entrance Exam for Legal Professions (HMGS) Held at Balıkesir University Faculty of Law
The
Faculty of Law at Balıkesir University successfully administered the first Mock
Entrance Exam for Legal Professions (HMGS) in order to better prepare its
students for their future professional careers.
The mock
exam was held in classrooms 361 and 362, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and lasting
155 minutes. It was organized exclusively for the students of Balıkesir
University Faculty of Law.
Pursuant
to Article 41 of the Additional Provisions of the Higher Education Law No.
2547, the HMGS has become a mandatory requirement for entry into the
professions of judge, prosecutor, attorney, and notary. This mock exam provided
students with a valuable opportunity to assess themselves and identify their
shortcomings prior to the actual exam.
According
to the relevant regulation, candidates are responsible for 20 courses taught in
faculties of law, and the HMGS is conducted in the form of a multiple-choice
test. The exam consists of 120 questions, and a minimum score of 70
(approximately 84 correct answers) is required to pass.
Balıkesir University Faculty of Law plans to continue organizing similar mock exams in the upcoming period in order to ensure that its students are well-prepared for this important examination.
