Law Faculty Iftar Dinner

The iftar dinner organized by the students of the Faculty of Law was held on Friday, March 7, 2025. The dinner, which took place in a sincere and warm atmosphere, was attended by the Rector of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yasan, the Faculty Administration, academic and administrative staff, and students.

In his speech following the iftar, Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu emphasized that, in addition to physical arrangements, the university administration had implemented numerous academic and administrative regulations, initiatives, and innovations over the past two years—some of which have already had tangible effects, while others will become apparent over time. He underlined that Balıkesir University would continue to take steps to enhance its recognition and prestige within the academic world through congresses and symposia. Prof. Dr. Oğurlu also highlighted that, through innovative projects and pioneering initiatives, Balıkesir University has recently achieved significant successes in the fields of education, research, and institutional development, and he referred to several undertakings that marked “firsts” in the history of the institution.

He further noted that the contributions of Balıkesir University’s academics and students to the university and the academic community are being closely followed and continuously supported. Expressing his gratitude to the Faculty of Law academics who organized six international symposia in the past two years, Rector Prof. Dr. Oğurlu shared specific examples of recent advancements.
