Developing the Debate Skills of Law Faculties within TUB
The
debate competition titled “Developing the Debate Skills of Law Faculties within
TUB,” organized on April 22, 2026 by the Law Council Community of Tekirdağ
Namık Kemal University among law faculty students operating under the Trakya
Universities Union, was successfully held.
Representing
Balıkesir University Faculty of Law, students from the Academic Law Community,
along with the Community’s Academic Advisor, Dr. Lecturer Münevver Kübra
Bakırcı, participated in the event.
In
the debate competition, which followed the 3+3 Austrian parliamentary format,
the government and opposition sides presented their arguments and
counterarguments regarding the jury system in the resolution of disputes.
At
the end of the highly competitive contest, the jury’s evaluation concluded that
the opposition side won by a very narrow margin.
We
congratulate the students of the Academic Law Community, who participated in
debate activities for the first time—an important educational tool in legal
education—and who experienced the parliamentary system for the first time.
