Debate Competition
The
semi-final and final rounds of the debate competition organized by the Academic
Law Society, the student association of the Faculty of Law at Balıkesir
University, were held on February 25, 2025, at the Atatürk Congress Center,
Dumlupınar Hall.
The
event, attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Dean of the Faculty of Law
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yasan, and President of the Balıkesir Bar Association,
Attorney Hakan Topaloğlu, was met with appreciation by the audience of
academics, students, and jury members.
In the final round, the debate centered on the topic: “Can AI-assisted judicial systems deliver fairer decisions than human-centered judges?” The winning team of the competition was awarded the grand prize of three grams of gold.
