Conference on the Principle of Legal Certainty in Turkish Private Law and Its Challenges
The
Faculty of Law at Balıkesir University (BAÜN) hosted a conference entitled “The
Principle of Legal Certainty in Turkish Private Law and Practices Threatening
This Principle” delivered by Prof. Dr. Şahin Akıncı, faculty member at Istanbul
Ticaret University Faculty of Law.
The
event, held at the Hasan Basri Çantay Conference Hall, was attended by the
Rector of Balıkesir University, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, as well as faculty
members and students. The program began with the opening remarks of Rector and
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu. In his lecture,
Prof. Dr. Akıncı elaborated on the principle of legal certainty in Turkish
private law and provided examples of practices that undermine this principle.
The conference concluded with the presentation of a plaque by Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu to Prof. Dr. Şahin Akıncı.
