BAUN Faculty of Law Celebrates Its First Graduates
Balıkesir
University Faculty of Law celebrated its first graduates at the end of the
2024-2025 academic year. Marking a new milestone in the history of the faculty,
the graduation ceremony was held with the participation of Balıkesir Chief
Public Prosecutor Abdulkadir Akın, Balıkesir University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel
Oğurlu, Balıkesir Bar Association President Hakan Topaloğlu, senate members,
faculty members, and families of the students.
The
ceremony, held at the Atatürk Congress and Culture Center Martyr Fethi Sekin
Conference Hall, began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National
Anthem, followed by opening speeches. On behalf of the graduates, valedictorian
Muratcan Yağcı delivered a speech, while Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr.
Mustafa Yasan, also addressed the audience, wishing the graduates success in
their professional careers.
In his
speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu emphasized the pride of the day, stating:
“We are experiencing the rightful pride of sending off the first graduates of
our Faculty of Law. I sincerely believe that these young jurists, who will be
representatives of justice, will make valuable contributions both to their
profession and to our country. I extend my gratitude to all our academic staff
and families who have supported our graduates.”
During
the ceremony, where 56 students graduated, certificates were presented to the
top-ranking students as well as all graduates. The program concluded with a
group photo session.
